Sue Andres

Sue Andres is the Founder and President of The Cactus Group. She brings three decades of experience working in Congress, The White House, The Department of Energy, and in the private sector, most recently as Assistant Vice President of Government Affairs in the Washington office of a Fortune 200 company.

She worked on a variety of legislative and regulatory issues during her professional career, including energy policy, trade issues, transportation, infrastructure, tax, labor, and regulatory reform measures.

Sue’s creative problem solving approach to complex issues has resulted in numerous successes over the years in identifying opportunities as well as resolving public policy challenges for her clients.

Sue has also participated in a variety of national political initiatives, including a leadership role in the Value in Electing Women Political Action Committee (ViewPAC).  Her experiences in national politics have helped her play a key role in electing and advising a wide array of current Members of the House Representatives and United States Senators.

She holds a degree in political science from the University of Arizona and as a result, knows a lot (but not everything) about lots of species of cacti.
